How the ranking works

More independent accounts talking faster raises the score. Self-posts count less. Replies, reposts, and repeated authors do not create a trend. A bid can move a company, but it cannot change the trend score or the sources.

Method

What counts as trending?

We watch a fixed list of 180 founders, builders, investors, researchers, and tech publications on X.

  1. Read new original posts and quote posts.
  2. Identify the company and the specific claim.
  3. Group posts that describe the same narrow shift.
  4. Rank the shift by unique outside accounts and acceleration.

“Claude is trending” is too broad. “Claude Code users are pushing back on usage pricing” counts.
